Urbancom.net has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract to design and build a broadband microwave network to provide high speed Internet throughout nine northwest Illinois counties. This network is part of the $68.5 million broadband stimulus NTIA BTOP grant to iFiber. The network will provide more than 500 community anchor institutions with speeds of up to 1 Gpbs via the 900 mile fiber and microwave network.
